This sky blue moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In bogs.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly delicate.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
