Aquamarine Succulent
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is moss green or hazel, and is covered in lots of flexible dark grey spines.
It is slow growing, taking 14 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with aquamarine petals and a turquoise central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is largely flat with many raised round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like fish.
The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the beige flesh is soft, and the cream sap is thin.
It is suitable for making paper
