Goldenwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 304 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a stocky, slanted trunk covered in fine, waxy, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.
The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of crispy, small, very thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light brown with gold tips.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, white, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is frequently struck by lightning.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
