Silverwood
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This enormous tree grows up to 119 meters (390.4 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3696 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in delicate, ridged, light brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is silver.
The extensive patches of branches are very long and thick, with hundreds of twigs covered with thick bunches of small, pink-red needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.
In late summer it produces tiny, light grey, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
