Magenta

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) tall. Its hazel and lime stem is thin and straight, and the tiny, orange-yellow leaves are spear shaped with tattered edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with amber petals on the lower layer and magenta petals decorated with lime dots on the inner layer. The central disk is magenta. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are hardy.

It has a powerful scent that smells like new carpet, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
