Cyanberry

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 187 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of thick, straight stems covered in delicate, wrinkled, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are short stubs with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, wide, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid cyan or blue, with aquamarine dots, resistant and smooth.

It produces dozens of medium-sized, dark orange flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like alcohol. In late spring it forms smallblack, tough-shelled seeds.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
