Pink-Red Tailgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal, pink-red grass grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall. The wide stalks grow in large clumps that are robust.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, white tail.

During the early autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of large grains.

It is excellent at collecting and storing carbon dioxide
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
