Turquoise Fruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 31 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in very thick, cracked, brown-green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is gray.
The sparse amount of branches are very long and thick and are covered with thick bunches of small, asymmetrical leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise on the sides and amber at the center.
In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, dark grey blossoms with fan-like petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like roses.
In early summer it produces , oval fruit. The waxy sky blue skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft turquoise flesh is sweet and bitter and powdery. The pale orange seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It commonly grows in large patches.
The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
