Burgundy Succulent

This giant cactus grows up to 178 feet (54.3 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 5 finger-like stems. Each stem is burgundy, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, grey, hair-like spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid crimson petals decorated with turquoise dots and a lilac central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is largely flat with 10 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray.

The cactus's skin is thin, the white flesh is sticky, and the orange sap is thin.
