Bronzeberry
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 65 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a flexible, wavy trunk covered in smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white with black speckles.
The abundance of branches are very long and thin and are covered with copious amounts of small, 6 pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are bronze on the sides and silver at the center.
In early spring, it produces dozens of large, caramel blossoms with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like faeces.
In early autumn it produces , long, tapering fruit. The fuzzy grey skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy bronze flesh is slightly savoury and oily. The brown seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
