Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The wonky, gold trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter in the middle. Its orange-yellow branches are short, rigid and upright and start growing halfway up the stem.
The large amounts of serrated-edged, needle-like leaves are found in violet and peach varieties. They are delicate, but take some effort to detach.
It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid yellow petals decorated with magenta dots and a purple central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like glue.
The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the turquoise flesh is rough, and the hazel sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and very bitter.
