Eternal Brown
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in hard, waxy, brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white.
The thin clumps of branches are short, thin and wispy, with hundreds of twigs covered with sparse amounts of small, yellow-green and grey needles. The needles themselves are resilient.
In late summer it produces large, orange, shelled seeds.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
