Greyfruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 61 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a very thick, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is white.

The numerous branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of giant, thin leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are cyan on the edges and lime at the center.

In early spring, it produces lots of medium-sized, pink blossoms with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like rotten meat.

In late autumn it produces , long, narrow fruit. The fuzzy grey skin is thick and edible when cooked; it is sweet, and the crunchy peach flesh is sour and dry. The dark grey seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
