Indigo Daisy
Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is wispy and splits into many branching stems at the top, and the huge, emerald leaves are pleated with irregular edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with gold petals that gradient shift to indigo on the outer edge. The central disk is deep blue. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.
It has a strong scent that smells like fresh linen, and it has excessive amounts of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
