Spiral Fire Moss

This bright orange moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very flexible; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
