Bronze

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 97 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous thick, angular stems covered in rough, brown bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, slender, pointed, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are bronze and violet, frail and leathery.

It produces dozens of giant, dark orange flowers with finger-like petals. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like freshly washed clothes. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedindigo aril (seeds with fleshy covers).


It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
