Silverfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 63 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, silver and white bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of large, spear shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either bronze, or pastel purple with orange edges.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, peach blossoms with spear shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like wet dog.

In late autumn it produces tiny, cuboid fruit. The soft green skin is tough and sweet, and the soft pastel purple flesh is savoury and dry. The gold seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
