Yellowvine

This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 344 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, yellow bark, and inside, the very light wood is yellow-brown.

The abundance of branches are long and thin and are covered with very large amounts of rough, huge, asymmetrical leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either green or crimson, with caramel streaks.

In early spring, it produces many small, light grey blossoms with circular petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cinnamon.

In late summer it forms small, black aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
