Burgundy Creeper

This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 470 feet (143.3 meters) and growing as high as 12 feet (3.7 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 7 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The pleated, leathery leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are peach and bronze, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a thick sheet of tiny sky blue flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of very large berries.
