Bronze
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, light gray bark, and inside, the light wood is pale brown-grey.
The small bunches of branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of small, spear shaped leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in beige and bronze varieties.
In early spring, it produces several medium-sized, yellow blossoms with 9 pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cheese.
In late summer it produces tiny, long, tapering fruit. The hairy black skin is delicate and overwhelmingly savoury, and the soft olive flesh is sweet and very dry. The deep yellow seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
