Goldenleaf Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 51 meters (167.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 288 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in very thick, smooth, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is black.

The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of waxy, huge, thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are slate with gold tips.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, orange, shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
