Goldenbrush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 55 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous narrow, angular stems covered in very thick, smooth, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, long, narrow, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid gold or blood red, with violet edges, soft and flexible and fuzzy.

It produces copious amounts of small, blue flowers with broad, flat petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like rainy days. In late summer it forms largewashed-out purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
