Lime Green Bloodflower

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized flower grows up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, lime green leaves are wispy with smooth edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Dozens of small flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are pale orange at the sides and brown at the center. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like blood, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
