Goldengrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This large, yellow grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thick clumps that are flexible and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, light brown flower.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
