Dark Orange Moss

This dark orange moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
