Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This giant, gray-green grass grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The 5 pointed stalks grow in small clumps that are flexible and they are exceptionally hardy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, olive puff.
During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
