Brownfern

This brown moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, and In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very strong.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
