Purple Vine

It takes 5 months for the pink stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and rubbery.
The fan-like, soft leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are either purple, or green with orange zig-zags, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the vine produces dozens of colossal red flowers.
