Lime Creeper

This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 13 feet (4.0 meters) and growing as high as 862 feet (262.7 meters).

It takes 4 months for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and prickly.

The needle-like, leathery leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are found in cream, yellow and lime varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of small brown flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of small seed pods.
