Bluevine

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 270 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thin, knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is black with white speckles.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with small amounts of soft, giant, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are bold blue at the bottom and sky blue with subtle purple edges at the top.

In late summer it forms small, dark brown seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
