Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In damp forests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is very rigid.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
