Emerald Clump Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is extremely tough.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores.
