Water Lily Aloe

This modest-sized flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its lime green stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 4 and are wispy and straight, and split into several branching stems at the base, and the miniature, vivid green leaves are stiff, pointed with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Around 90 small flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide, with azure petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of 46 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They fall easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like rotten egg, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
