Golden Petal
Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thin and straight with a curved tip, and the tiny, emerald leaves are sickle shaped with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.
Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide, with gold petals and a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with 58 raised narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has an intense scent that smells like sugar, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
It is suitable for making paper
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
