Crimsonleaf Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 60 meters (196.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 70 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, slanted trunk covered in cracked, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with handfuls of waxy, tiny, long, tapering leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are yellow with dull orange tips.

In late summer it forms large, crimson, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
