Silvervine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 624 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in waxy, yellow bark, and inside, the soft wood is silver.

The small bunches of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of covered in fine hairs, large, slender, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are slate and red.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, cream aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is difficult to cut through.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
