Emerald

This emerald moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, In damp forests, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very rigid; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
