Copperleaf

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 40 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, slanted stems covered in paper-thin, ridged, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are very long and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, slender, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue or deep green, with sky blue splotches, strong and clammy.

In mid-summer it produces thousands of small, lime flowers with 5 oval-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like new books.
