Turquoise

This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its green stem is very thin and straight, and the large, ashy purple leaves are stiff, pointed with tattered edges. 3 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 10 cm (3.9 inches) wide, with brown petals on the lower layer and muted yellow petals decorated with turquoise dots on the inner layer. The central disk is ashy purple. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like bleach, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
