Grey Moss

This grey and caramel moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In damp forests, On rotten logs, and In heathlands.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly sturdy.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
