Silverleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This modest-sized tree grows up to 26 meters (85.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 240 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in hard, smooth, silver and white bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.
The numerous branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of smooth, huge, long, narrow leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are olive on the edges and faded orange at the center.
In late summer it forms small, bronze seed pods.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
