Goldenleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This large tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 548 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in rough, light gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is dark brown.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of crispy, giant, very thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally gold.

In late summer it forms tiny, intense yellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
