Turquoise Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows, flowers and dies within one year)

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 66 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in fine, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the light wood is white.

The numerous branches are very short and thin and are covered with small bunches of huge, 4 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in lime, beige and florescent blue varieties.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, slate blossoms with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotten meat.

In early winter it produces small, oval fruit. The rubbery turquoise skin is thick and sweet and spicy, and the soft light brown flesh is sweet and spicy and very dry. The light grey seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and are suitable for boiling.
