Blackneedle Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized, black grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in small clumps that are durable and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, black tuft.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of tiny grains.

Several parts of the tree have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for making paper
