Sunnyvine

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 299 feet (91.1 meters) and growing as high as 20 feet (6.1 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 5 years for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 6 inches (15 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The thick, leathery leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are faded red at the bottom and cream with bright yellow edges at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several tiny peach flowers.
