Crimson Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is red, and is covered in handfuls of rigid crimson spines. The smooth-edged, broad, flat leaves are found in white, blue and blue varieties. Large amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 3, then 6, then 9, and so on. The leaves are robust, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are light grey in the center, indigo in the middle and silver at the edges grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 44 petals. It has a soft scent that smells like coffee.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the crimson flesh is slimy, and the beige sap is thin.
