Boggy Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
