Aquamarine

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive flower grows up to 10.4 feet (3.2 meters) tall. Its gray-green and cream stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the huge, slate leaves are grey on the underside and are perforated with ripped edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 44 cm (17.3 inches) wide, with solid aquamarine petals and a vibrant red central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 24 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They detach easily.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like musk, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
