Blue Petal Flower

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is wispy and straight, and the tiny, bronze or red leaves are long, narrow with tattered edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 20 cm (7.9 inches) wide, with petals that are sky blue on the edges and blue at the center. The flower head is largely flat with 16 tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like chocolate, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
