Golden Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This colossal vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,435 feet (437.4 meters) and growing as high as 257 feet (78.3 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 24 years for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3.1 feet (94 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The circular, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) in length. They are solid pastel green or violet, with gold dots, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of tiny brilliant purple flowers.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
Several parts of the moss have medicinal properties.
